How it started

One of the biggest questions small business are asked is what was your inspiration? Or how did you get started? For me (the business owner), the answer is a bit of an emotional one.

In 2017, I sustained a workplace injury which I never fully recovered from. The injury left me permanently disabled. When you've been working for so long, it 's hard not to be able to go to work everyday.

As a mom of a nine-year-old girl, I needed to find something to bring in some income, so I thought, why not try starting my own business? That is how Pawsitively Refreshing was born.

I've always been creative, and while scrolling through social media I noticed a crafting technique using resin. So I thought, hey, why not try this out?

After many experiments, I was able to create small trinkets called pocket hugs. From there, the creative juices started flowing. Pocket hugs turned into coasters, figurines, bowls, trays, pens and more.

Now, I didn't stop there, I decided to play around with Cricut design space and heat presses to see what else my creative brain could come up with. Low and behold, I discovered I could design my own mugs, key chains and tumblers.

I'm always thinking, what else can I make? The world is my creative oyster.

Why Pawsitively Refreshing?

We are a household of animal lovers, so the name seemed fitting. Positively, Pawsitively...Get it? It's a cheeky play-on words.

We hope that our animal themed products will appeal to likewise individuals.
